I have not been to NY City in a while. This week the opportunity (well it was more of an obligation) came up, I seized the chance to get a few shots off after I was done. I took my Fuji GF 670 and my beloved OM-D with me. The GF is a medium format film camera equipped with a normal lens (75mm), and I set it to 6×6 format and shot Ilford XP2. For the OM, I took try 14mm and a new acquisition, the fixed aperture 15 mm f8 “lens cap” lens, which people either hate or love (optically it;s crap, fun factor is 100%) and deviating from my normal custom shooting RAW, I made up my mind to shoot JPGs and used one the Oly’s Art filter – grainy B&W film, thank to Blunty for the suggestion to use that with the 15mm. I was also inspired by recently looking at Daido Moriyama’s work, though my photos are very different.
Sometimes there seem to several themes in a day – just things you notice more. I always like dogs on the street, quite evident here. This time there seemed to be many people holding hands (how un-New Yorker like!) and people (many men!) with strollers.
Here are the results of the Oly (you’ll have to wait on the GF):
